New York Mets MLB Baseball Collection

Established in 1962 to replace New York’s departed teams (NY Giants & Brooklyn Dodgers), the Mets colors evoke the blue of the Dodgers and the orange of the Giants, paying homage to NY baseball. Originally playing at the Polo Grounds in Manhattan, the team moved to Queens in 1964. There they called the iconic Shea Stadium home, until 2009, when Citi Field opened its gates. The 2x World Series Champions won their 1st in 1969, The Miracle Mets became an underdog story for the ages lead by Darryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden, Gary Carter and Kieth Hernandez.
