They’ve won the only World Series they’ve played, in 2002, and are 1 of 3 teams to win their sole appearance in the Fall Classic. Walt Disney bought the team in 1997, becoming the 2nd professional team Disney owned (Mighty Ducks of Anaheim - NHL), Disney sold the team in 2003 (and the Ducks in 2005).
