Established in 1962, the Astros spent 51 years in the National League, before moving to the American League in 2013, to balance each league with 15 teams. Becoming the Astros in 1965 in honor of the Johnson Space Center, the year they moved to the Astrodome, they were previously known as the Colt .45s, however in 2000 they moved to Minute Maid Park, where they still play today. The Astros have 1 World Series Championship, however that is usually looked down on, following the cheating scandal of 2017.
