The Charlotte Hornets were founded in 1985, and began play in the NBA as an expansion team in 1988. Currently owned by NBA legend, Michael Jordan, the Hornets play at the Spectrum Center, which holds a maximum 19,077 people. Despite making the playoffs 12 times, they are the oldest team to lack a division championship win.
